about

In the 1980's a research lab in the middle of rural Washington was shut in due to an aggressive snowstorm, trapping a handful of scientists inside with a hallucinogenic chemical that leaked through the facility, causing the scientists to see what they described as a portal to another dimension, which let loose a shadow being that played with their minds, making them feel like they were trapped in cages or feeling constant pain. In an effort to escape the monster that tried digging tunnels out of the facility. After breaking their makeshift digging equipment, they felt desperate enough to use their own hands to claw their way through the floors and walls, leaving more smeared blood marks than actual digging progress. The monster merely watched the entire time.
After the hallucinations ended, so did the snowstorm. But even after the end of the incident the scientists still live with the permanent damage to their hands, and they still suffer flashbacks, seeing the portal at random moments, the shadow being slowly walking out..
